Pineau des Charentes

Our Pineau is old Pineau

The vine for the white is the Ugni blanc

The vines for the rosé  are merlot and cabernet.

 

The tastes of these two Pineau are different.

The white one has more acidity.

The rosé is sweeter.

 

Cognac, VSOP and XO

We offer three sorts of Cognac:

V.S.O.P.,  20 years

X.O. , 33 years old

Brűlot, eau de vie 60 % vol.

Claude Boisselet, wine grower, spends two months in the winter for the distillation of his cognac,
 his own way of distilling his product for many years.

He puts his "cognac" in "foudres", big barrels made of oak
 as well as in smaller barrels.

 

The Brűlot and the "café Charentais"

The brűlot is an eau de vie of 60 % vol. This eau de vie can be used  for cooking.

If you buy some cups in "grčs" (we have some in the shop), I will give you the very old receipe for the real "café charentais".
